Cedarwood, also called Deodar cedar, can reach a height of 131 feet. It is a member of the Abietaceae family. This evergreen tree takes on the shape of a pyramid, with grey-greenish needles and oval-shaped cones.
CEDARWOOD ESSENTIAL OIL HISTORICAL USE
Cedarwood oils are extracted via steam distillation from sawdust and wood chips. The oil has a delicate, pencil-like aroma. The resulting oil is light orange to pale yellow in color and slightly viscous.
